| Barbara holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from the University of Victoria. In 2003, she graduated from the 3 year degree program at West Coast College of Massage Therapy. After gathering some work experience, Barbara returned to WCCMT as an instructor, with a focus on safe treatment of patients with underlying conditions.
Barbara treated the Canucks over a period of 2 years during their playoff season and training camps. She is committed to improving her skills and knowledge base and has completed courses in myofascial release, visceral manipulation and muscle energy techniques.
Her treatment style incorporates all of these techniques with an emphasis on deep tissue massage and trigger point release. She specializes in providing effective relaxation or therapeutic massage when underlying medical conditions or injuries exist.
When she's not working, Barbara is active in sports. She played college basketball, enjoys running, outdoor activities, such as skiing, hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. She has run two half-marathons and is currently a part of the Canadian Women's National Ultimate Frisbee team.
